Seeking an M&A Applications Lead to support mergers & acquisitions, by enabling the successful assessment, integration and optimization of enterprise applications. In this role, you will conduct end-to-end applications due diligence, evaluate the target company’s technology ecosystem, and map their application landscape to Cadence’s enterprise systems. Your work will accelerate acquisition readiness, minimize integration risks, ensure continuity of critical applications and data, and enable scalable technology solutions across business units.
This role is ideal for someone with strong cross functional application experience, including Quote to Cash, who can quickly understand unfamiliar systems, identify risks, and shape integration plans that support a smooth transition into the environment. You must also demonstrate the ability to work effectively with management at all levels, from operational leaders to executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Due Diligence & Assessment
• Perform comprehensive application discovery across the target company, including HR, Marketing, CRM (Quote to Cash), ERP, and Support systems.
• Map target company applications against Cadence’s enterprise landscape to assess integration feasibility and identify risks, gaps, and redundancies.
• Collaborate with Corporate Dev, Business stakeholders, and IT Application architects to define and finalize integration plans and support M&A milestone deliverables.
• Lead deep dive assessment of end-to-end Quote to Cash, including Lead, Opportunity, CPQ, Order, Billing, and Revenue Recognition flows for acquired companies, identifying gaps, risks, and required changes across SFDC, SAP, and downstream systems.
• Identify cross-functional dependencies and integration risks, escalate blockers, and drive timely decision-making to protect critical go-live timelines.
• Synthesize findings into clear, executive-ready documents and recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience working across enterprise applications, with strong exposure to CRM, Quote to Cash, and ERP platforms.
• Experience supporting M&A integrations with compressed timelines and evolving requirements, balancing speed with risk management.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business friendly language.
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience with Salesforce (SFDC, CPQ), SAP, Coupa, Workday, Marketo or similar enterprise systems.
• Prior experience in M&A due diligence, enterprise architecture, or IT integration programs.
• Understanding of compliance, security, and data governance regulations
• Relevant professional certifications, such as:
o Salesforce Administrator / Certified Application Architect
o SAP Certified Application Associate
o Workday Pro (HCM)
