Role Overview We are looking for a highly experienced Java Full Stack Lead with 12+ years of experience in enterprise application development, preferably within the Railroad / Transportation domain. This role requires a strong hands-on technical leader who can drive architecture, lead a team of 10, and deliver scalable, high-performance applications in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage a cross-functional team of ~10 members (Developers + QA) • Own end-to-end delivery across design, development, testing, deployment, and support • Architect and develop scalable full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular • Drive technical design discussions, solution architecture, and system integration strategies • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and enforce best practices and coding standards • Ensure high-quality, zero-defect delivery with strong focus on performance and security • Mentor and guide team members, ensuring skill development and delivery excellence • Oversee integration testing, UAT support, and production deployments • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure sprint commitments are met • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and DevOps adoption Must Have Skills • 12+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development • Strong expertise in: o Java 8+ / J2EE o Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Microservices Architecture o RESTful API development o Angular (6+ or above) • Hands-on experience with: o Oracle SQL / PL-SQL o Unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) • Experience with messaging systems (JMS / Kafka / ActiveMQ) • Strong understanding of: o System design, design patterns, and architecture principles o SDLC and Agile methodologies • Proven experience in leading teams (8–10+ members) Domain Requirement (Mandatory) • Railroad / Rail Logistics domain experience is mandatory • Exposure to systems such as: o Positive Train Control (PTC) o Freight / Terminal Management Systems o Rail operations, logistics, or monitoring platforms • Experience working with global railroad clients is highly preferred Good to Have Skills • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / OpenShift) • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube) • Exposure to GIS systems or real-time tracking dashboards • Experience with Apache Camel, SOA, or integration frameworks • Familiarity with Linux/Unix and shell scripting Desired Profile • Strong hands-on coding + leadership balance • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to drive teams, mentor developers, and ensure delivery excellence • Proven track record in delivering large-scale enterprise applications • Strong ownership mindset with a focus on quality, performance, and reliability Role Details • Experience: 12+ Years • Role Type: Technical Lead / Lead Engineer • Team Size: ~10 (Developers + QA) • Work Model: Agile / Scrum
