Required Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, or related field
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) strongly preferred
  • OSHA 30?€'Hour (or equivalent safety certification) preferred

 

Desired Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive project management experience, with at least 5+ years leading complex healthcare or hospital?€'based projects
  • Direct experience managing large?€'scale physical relocations, including:
    • Hospital or healthcare facility moves
    • Installation, relocation, and commissioning of biomedical, clinical, imaging, laboratory, and other healthcare equipment
  • Proven experience acting as the single accountable project manager for end?€'to?€'end delivery of multi?€'disciplinary, high?€'risk projects
  • Strong background in Healthcare Facilities and Real Estate Management, including:
    • Capital projects
    • Construction coordination
    • Facility readiness and transition planning


Regulatory, Safety & Compliance Expertise

  • Working knowledge of Washington State and local Seattle?€'area regulations, including:
    • Local building codes
    • Fire and life safety regulations
    • Permitting and inspection processes
  • Ability to ask the right questions and identify risks related to:
    • Patient and staff safety
    • Equipment readiness and validation
    • Legal, regulatory, and licensing compliance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare?€'specific regulations and compliance requirements

 


Project Management & Execution Skills

  • Demonstrated PM rigor with strong command of:
    • Integrated master schedules
    • Budget management and cost controls
    • Risk and issue management
    • Change management and governance processes
  • Experience managing 12–16 month project timelines with multiple interdependencies
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while keeping executive leadership informed
  • Skilled in coordinating and leading:
    • Clinical leadership
    • Facilities and engineering teams
    • IT, biomed, vendors, contractors, and external consultants

 

Communication & Leadership Competencies

  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive?€'level communication skills
  • Highly detail?€'oriented, with the ability to manage complex documentation, schedules, and compliance artifacts

 

Location & Availability

  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Greater Seattle area
  • Ability to be on?€'site regularly throughout the duration of the project
  • Availability to support project phases that may require extended hours, weekends, or critical milestones

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hospital activations, new building transitions, or replacement hospitals
  • Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera, or equivalent enterprise PM platforms
  • Experience working within large healthcare systems or academic medical centers
