The Deductions Manager is responsible for leading and governing all deduction-related operations delivered through a Managed Service Provider (MSP). This role ensures accurate, timely, and efficient deduction management by providing strategic direction, performance oversight, and process stewardship. Acting as the primary liaison between Clorox’s internal Order to Cash (OTC) stakeholders and the MSP, the Deductions Manager ensures service levels are met, issues are escalated appropriately, and continuous improvement opportunities are identified and executed.
Key Responsibilities
1. MSP Leadership & Governance
• Serve as the primary point of contact between Clorox’s deduction operations and the MSP, ensuring seamless translation of business requirements into daily execution
• Maintain a strong working relationship with the MSP Delivery Lead and delivery teams, meeting regularly to review capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize improvements
• Ensure MSP adherence to Clorox goals, policies, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Review MSP performance dashboards, KPIs, and reports to develop insights and recommend corrective actions.
2. Operational Oversight & Issue Management
• Oversee alignment of daily, weekly, and monthly deduction activities between internal teams and the MSP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead escalation management—ensuring issues are surfaced quickly and resolved in partnership with the Order & Deductions Delivery Manager.
• Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards across deduction processing.
3. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
• Partner with the MSP to evaluate, optimize, and standardize deduction processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize cost.
• Drive automation initiatives and adoption of best practices across the deduction management lifecycle.
• Identify capability gaps within MSP operations and develop roadmaps to close them.
4. Stakeholder Partnership & Communication
• Provide regular updates to the Order & Deductions Delivery Manager, ensuring visibility into escalations and operational risks.
• Collaborate across Sales, Finance, Customer Operations, and Governance teams to ensure timely and accurate deduction resolution.
• Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous learning between internal teams and the MSP.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
• Deep knowledge of deduction management and the OTC lifecycle.
• Experience with SAP S4, EDI, and cloud based deduction platforms (e.g., HighRadius).
• Ability to interpret KPI dashboards, performance reporting, and operational metrics.
