We're hiring a Surety Bond Specialist to join a growing, collaborative surety team in Houston. What You'll Do

• Draft, review, sign, seal, and issue bond forms daily — accuracy and precision are critical
• Handle invoicing, billing research and resolution, and certification requests
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource to clients on bond mechanics and surety products
• Market directly to carriers on smaller bonds and pre-established programs
• Contribute to systems and process improvement across the surety team
• Navigate unique or complex bond requests through creative analysis and problem-solving

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of surety experience required
• Commercial surety experience strongly preferred — construction bond experience is a plus
• Active state-specific insurance license required
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail — bond forms must be exact
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• EPIC agency management system experience is a strong plus
• A motivated, collaborative professional with a desire to grow

Work Arrangement

This position is based in Houston, TX with full-time onsite presence expected during the onboarding and acclimation period, transitioning to a hybrid schedule. Parking is provided. Remote consideration is available for senior candidates with 8+ years of experience.

Compensation

$80,000–$90,000 for candidates with 2–5 years of experience Up to $100,000 for senior-level profiles
