Work cross functionally (Health, Safety, Security, and Sustainability Subject Matter Experts (SME)) to create, update, approve, and release documents utilizing a modified quality management system.
• Convert current existing documentation to new templates. Gather feedback from SME, and end users to improve order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• Ensure consistency of documentation within and between departments.
• Meet with managers to learn about specific needs or processes.
• Assess audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended. Adjust tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding.
• Ensure compliance with Department procedures.
• Perform job functions in a safe and effective manner.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in English; Technical Writing; Regulatory Technology; related field, or relevant experience required.
• Experience: 2+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a Technical Writer role.
• Excellent attention to detail, including document structure; fact-checking; logical flow; parallelism; formatting; and proofreading.
• Deliver coherent, efficient outputs that exhibit extraordinary attention-to-detail with both technical and grammatical accuracy.
Required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform investigation and research.
• Ability to effectively work independently and within a team environment.
• Technical writing and editing experience.
• Ability to set and adhere to timelines and deadlines
