The Mignot Lab within the Stanford School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Division of Sleep Medicine is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform nighttime phlebotomy and duties related to the collection of clinical samples.

SCHEDULE: PART TIME
This position will require one to three hours of late evening weeknight work to conduct one blood draw at 10:30pm and/or one blood draw between 1:00a-6:45a. The schedule of blood draws will be determined by the study protocol.

Duties include:
• Perform basic measurements and venipuncture on participants according to protocol after appropriate training.
• Collect and manage study specimens according to protocol.
• Work safely with potentially biohazardous biological specimens under the Stanford University Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.

Requirements:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
High school diploma and State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) Certificate

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
• General knowledge of medical terminology.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) Certificate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
• Frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat and use fine light/fine grasping.
• Rarely kneel, crawl, climb ladders, grasp forcefully, sort and file paperwork or parts, rarely lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh 40 pounds or more.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
