Requirement Detail
- AIX OS upgrade and patching, LPAR provisioning, system recovery, VIOS configuration, Network and storage virtualization, performance analysis and capacity planning.
- Work with team members to support storage subsystems.
- Provide engineering, design and support, security remediation for enterprise Redhat Linux servers and workloads.
- Support infrastructure with automation, such as Ansible playbooks, and Ansible scripting or Ansible automation platforms.
- Communicate and collaborate with a diverse team and technologies, understanding of technical and business requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex performance, availability and other types of errors and outages during incidents and come to quick resolution to restore services.
- Document technical and architectural requirements, processes, and procedures.
Provide engineering, design and support for IBM Power / AIX servers, LPARS and workloads.
Required Skills and Experience
- Five to seven years of experience as an AIX administrator or engineer
- A minimum of five years of experience in IBM POWER Systems [IBM I (iSeries, AS/400), IBM AIX]
- Hardware Management Console (HMC) configuration and support
- IBM Power Systems hardware configuration
- IBM Server firmware
- Experience supporting RedHat Linux Servers
- Experience with automation scripting with a preference for Ansible
