Your responsibilities would include:

o Acting on behalf of faculty to establish priorities and identify and resolve problems that are administrative in nature.

o Overseeing and/or performing duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating complex conferences, seminars, and events, including arranging with vendors for services, overseeing the production and distribution of materials, administering logistics, and managing events within budget.

o Composing and drafting documents and correspondence for presentations, course handouts, grants, conferences, seminars, and reports; perform substantial editing and fact checking.

o Planning and scheduling calendars with limited consultation, resolving calendaring conflicts, and arranging travel in compliance with department, university, and sponsor policies.

o Creating reports and spreadsheets which may utilize specialized software and systems.

o Overseeing and/or processing a variety of complex financial transactions including purchasing and reimbursement requests; researching, identifying, and resolving discrepancies. Assisting with capital or special equipment requests and/or vendor selection.

 

Requirements:

o Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software (Microsoft Office Products) and email applications.

o Calendaring experience

o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

o Strong verbal and written communication skills.

o Excellent interpersonal skills.

o Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.

o Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.

o Previous experience providing administrative support in an academic institution is desired.

o Familiarity with Stanford Oracle systems preferred.
