Staffing Technologies has partnered with a National Law firm in their search for a Real Estate Paralegal. This respected, prestigious, and collaborative firm has a robust history within the Pacific Northwest and is recognized as one of the largest national firms focused on energy, natural resources, climate change and the environment. This position will offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join a top firm in their Real Estate practice.

A successful candidate will have:

• Extensive knowledge of real estate and condominium transactions, closings, escrow, title review. 

• Ability to review and prepare general correspondence, deeds and property transfer documents, basic loan documents, escrow instructions and settlement statements. 

• Ability to review purchase and sale contracts and other real estate documents. 

• Ability to review, request, and order real property reports; certificates of existence and entity documents; title insurance; due diligence searches.

• Prior experience recording important dates and maintaining files; organize closing documents; calendar all critical dates and contingencies; prepare and manage closing checklists; coordinate closing with all parties; prepare transfers/affidavits of transferees, closing documents, closing reports, accounts.

• Ability to review contracts and leases for assignment and prepare abstracts for contracts and leases; review title and survey materials for sales and financing transactions and coordinate clearing of title issues, issuance of policies and determining appropriate title endorsements. 

• Experience preparing corporate authorization documents, including authorization of the applicable parties to purchase/sell/borrow. 

• Experience conducting public record searches of parties, including judgment, tax liens, and UCC filings. 

• Experience obtaining closing figures from the lender and prorate amounts for real and property taxes, utilities, and rent
