Hi

Additional Info:

Does this position have the opportunity for an extension or FTE conversion? Extension maybe, FTE conversion only if we lose an existing payroll analyst

Can you give a high-level overview of your team size, roles, its initiatives/deliverables, and any tool/technologies specific to your team/department/project they will be supporting:

Payroll team – process payroll for 3000+ employees (not contractors).

Position reports to the Payroll Supervisor and has one other FTE team member (Payroll Analyst).

Payroll is run using ADP’s Comprehensive Outsourcing Services model in their Enterprise volume 6 (Ev6) environment.

HR system is Workday and we use Workforce Software (MyTime) for time and attendance systems.

What would “a day in the life” of this role look like?:

Candidate would support all aspect of payroll processing, including data entry (updating employee records), archiving documentation for audit, responding to emails/phone calls, performing payroll calculations for terminations, retroactive pay, one-time payments, etc.

What interaction level with this role have the team members and hiring manager?

Team member will work with both their supervisor and the payroll analyst extensively.

This includes daily stand ups and peer reviewing work of peers.

What would you say is the top priority for the worker over the first few weeks/months?:

Training and Payroll Processing.

The first few weeks will be spent training on running payroll and entering employee data.

This will be the core job for the extent of the contract.

What do you foresee being the biggest challenge in this role?

Our payroll is highly complex and there are a lot of manual checks/audits/processes that require extreme attention to detail (otherwise employee pay is inaccurate).

Additionally, we have two different union contracts we have to comply with so its not just a straight forward payroll.

Is utilities experience required? No but it is helpful.

What is your preference when interviewing candidates? (Phone, In Person, Teams):

Teams Meeting (with camera) or In-Person

Thanks,

Anissa
