Maintenance Supervisor (3rd shift)


We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor with food manufacturing experience to lead and support our maintenance team in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable operations. In this role, you will oversee daily maintenance activities, drive preventive maintenance strategies, and ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirements. You’ll serve as a key leader, mentor, and escalation point for your team while helping maximize equipment uptime and operational performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, prioritize, and assign daily maintenance work orders, ensuring clear direction and timely completion
  • Supervise maintenance staff to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations
  • Act as the primary escalation point for technical and operational issues
  • Develop and maintain effective predictive and preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan
  • Utilize CMMS systems (e.g., SAP) for planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance activities
  • Oversee plant equipment repairs and coordinate emergency maintenance response
  • Support root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate on planned downtime, shutdown activities, and capital projects
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and reporting within maintenance systems
  • Partner with inventory teams to maintain adequate levels of spare parts and supplies
  • Assist in developing and improving maintenance procedures, policies, and best practices
  • Ensure strict adherence to GMP, safety, food quality, and sanitation standards

Leadership & Team Development

  • Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance team members to enhance performance and engagement
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development initiatives
  • Provide training on equipment, safety practices, and operational procedures
  • Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2–5 years of maintenance experience with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience with safety programs and compliance standards (OSHA preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP/CMMS)
  • Relevant technical certifications (electrical, welding, HVAC/refrigeration, boiler, etc.) are a plus
