Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EMS Testing Automation Analyst with strong expertise in Python automation, data analytics, and software validation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable automated testing frameworks and validation pipelines for Energy Management System (EMS) applications, including Leader and Trip Optimizer platforms.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable software releases while reducing manual testing efforts through intelligent automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for EMS applications including Leader and Trip Optimizer.
• Build scalable automated validation pipelines to support software releases and improve testing efficiency.
• Develop Python-based scripts and tools for validating train handling behavior, EMS outputs, and system performance.
• Create repeatable, reliable, and high-quality testing processes aligned with release cycles and production standards.
• Perform data analysis and validation to identify trends, anomalies, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
• Automate manual validation workflows to improve operational efficiency and data quality.
• Collaborate with development, QA, business, and operations teams to support EMS platform enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and insights to support testing and release management activities.
• Ensure software quality, reliability, and first-time-right delivery in production environments.
• Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of EMS automation and validation processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong programming expertise in Python for automation, testing frameworks, scripting, and data analysis.
• Hands-on experience developing automated testing and validation solutions.
• Experience building scalable automation frameworks and validation pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including:
  • Complex formulas
  • Pivot tables
  • Data modeling
  • Data analysis
• Experience validating system outputs, performance, and operational workflows.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments.
• Ability to identify automation opportunities and implement process improvements.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Tableau or similar BI/dashboarding tools.
• Prior experience with:
  • PTC Systems
  • Energy Management Systems (EMS)
  • Leader
  • Trip Optimizer
• Knowledge of transportation, railroad, or industrial automation systems is a plus.

Experience Required

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience developing Python-based automation and data analytics solutions.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, low-defect software validation outcomes.
• Experience building end-to-end automation solutions from data ingestion through validation and reporting.
