Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Lead / QA Feature Lead with 8+ years of QA experience to drive quality engineering practices across enterprise-scale solutions. This role requires strong leadership in test strategy, automation adoption, and quality governance, along with hands-on expertise in modern automation tools and frameworks.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in defining test architecture, influencing automation strategy, and ensuring high-quality feature delivery in complex, integrated environments such as railroad/training systems or similar enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & QA Leadership
- Drive and influence automation adoption across feature and platform teams
- Lead automation strategy and define coverage across Unit, API, UI, and Integration layers
- Establish and enforce automation standards, framework conventions, and coding best practices
- Guide decisions on automation frameworks and tools in collaboration with engineering teams
- Mentor QA engineers and developers on automation and test design practices
- Conduct reviews to ensure scalable, maintainable, and stable automation solutions
Core Testing Responsibilities
- Develop test strategies, plans, and risk-based testing approaches
- Lead functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing efforts
- Own defect management lifecycle, including triage and root cause analysis
- Define and enforce quality gates for release readiness and sign-off
Technical & Automation Skills
- Hands-on experience with Robot Framework (preferred), Playwright, Selenium
- Strong expertise in API testing using REST Assured, Postman, or SoapUI
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Strong knowledge of Git version control (branching, merging, PR workflows)
- Experience in test data management and environment coordination
Metrics, Reporting & Governance
- Define and track QA metrics (coverage, execution trends, stability)
- Provide clear reporting on quality status, risks, and release readiness
- Maintain audit-ready QA documentation and traceability
- Implement checklist-based quality controls and acceptance criteria
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in onsite-offshore QA delivery models
- Strong exposure to Agile and DevOps environments
- Experience with performance, load, or resiliency testing
- Background in highly integrated enterprise systems
