Required :

• Focus on end-to-end data collection, intake and processing

• Create processes and frameworks for complicated data science projects across distributed systems

• Serve as a liaison between the BI Team and other entities who consume BI owned data

• Implement, maintain and populate analytics databases

• Work with pipelines, tune databases for efficient analysis and create table schemas using ETL methods 

• Partner closely with the BI Data Architect and BI ETL Developers to become a subject matter expert (SME) for BI data

• Ensure management awareness of problems that are severe in nature or that are exceeding documented targets

• Collaborate with other team members in creating optimal, maintainable, and scalable MicroStrategy reporting solutions

• Contribute to the database design collaborating with Data Analysts and Data Modelers

• Perform analysis & development to create MicroStrategy schema objects, reports & dashboards

• Provide support for all phases of testing such as integration and user acceptance

• Generate appropriate unit test plans and assure quality of work

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experience.

• In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa

• Customarily has at least three or more years of experience Developing software processes, Data Modeling, and Data Governance, and relational databases

• Customarily has at least three or more years of experience with documentation and publication

• Customarily has at least one or more years of MS SQL Server Stack experience, particularly with SSIS and ETL tools

• Exposure to Oracle, SQLServer, Sybase, NoSQL, Postgres RDBMs

• Exposure to Python, r, Hadoop, Pig, Hive, Google Analytics, SAS, SPSS 

• Core Competencies of Service Mentality, Attention to Detail, Sense of Urgency, Initiative and Flexibility

• Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions

• Outstanding customer service skills as well as the ability to deal with people in a manner which shows tact and professionalism

• The ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies

• Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills

• Highly organized

• Communications skills to be able to effectively speak and write in a clear and professional manner

• Skilled at listening and providing feedback

• Effective group facilitator
